You'd think

They have

Much power

Who more

Than me

Would vouch

For their

Eloquence

And weight

Yet

When I try

To express

With this word

And that

They fail

Seem pale

To convey

Even a tiny

Bit

Or fraction

Of the emotion

That rises

Almost without

Volition

Stuck

Somewhere

In my throat

Refusing to

Rise to the surface

Of my

Tongue

Or flow

To my fingers

So I must

let simmer

Inside

And realise

There are

Things

Too

Potent

And poignant

For

Words.
